Geoff Pierson is an American actor who is best known for playing Jack Malloy in the television series “Unhappily Ever After.” He also had a recurring role in the Showtime’s series “Dexter,” in which he played Tom Matthews. He is also known as a director of stage plays and extremely into theater work.

Geoff Pierson was born on June 16, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois. He was raised and attended high school in Chicago. He moved to New York to attend Fordham University where he got his Bachelor’s Degree. In 1980, he went on to Yale School of Drama and earned his masters and began his acting career. In 1983, he landed the lead role in “Ryan’s Hope” as Frank Ryan. He also starred in many television shows such as “Texas,” “Another World” and “One Life to Live.”

Geoff Pierson also appeared in “Grace Under Fire,” “Party of Five,” “New York Undercover” and “Against the Law” as well as “Kate and Allie” and “Law and Order.” He also received the chance to work with Al Pacino in “Two Bits” and with Alan Arkin in “Necessary Parties.” Pierson also appeared on “24” as President John Keeler and as a United States Senator on “The West Wing” and on the TV film “Windy City Heat.” He also guest-starred in “Criminal Minds” and “Changeling” and had a recurring role in “Boardwalk Empire.” Geoff Pierson had a significant role in “Atlas Shrugged” and “Rules of Engagement.”

Pierson has also done several stage works such as the Broadway production “Tricks of the Trade” and for the American Stage Company, he did “The Gamblers,” “Stringbean” for the California Theatre and “Speed the Plow” for the Philadelphia Theatre Company. For the Virginia Stage Company, he worked on “American Buffalo,” “Otherwise Engaged,” “Glengarry Glen Ross” and “Les Liasons Dangereuses”. At the Pennsylvania Centre Stage, he worked on “Timon of Athens,” “Measure for Measure,” “Uburex” and “The Bundle.” He also did “A Streetcar Named Desire” at the Yale Repertory Theatre.

Geoff Pierson is married to Cali Timmins, and they have one child. He usually divides his time between New York and Los Angeles, where he lives. He is an extremely talented actor; he does extremely well not only in acting, but also in writing and directing plays. His excellent acting performances and several stage works brought him to where he is today. He truly deserves the recognitions that he has achieved.
