Peter Weller

Peter Weller is an American actor and director who is most fondly known for his starring role in the first two RoboCop films, and among the younger generations, he is known for his character roles in several sci-fi films as well as his portrayal of Stan Liddy in the 5th seasons of the Showtime blockbuster series Dexter.

Peter Weller started his career with Broadway, moved to films and television series while continuing his stage career. He was nominated for an Academy Award as a Director for a short, Partner, in the year 1993. In his career, Peter has also been nominated for Saturn Award for Best Actor – RoboCop in 1988, Genie Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role – Naked Lunch in 1992 and Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male – Ivans XTC in 2002, among others. Presently, he is also a lecturer and hosts shows like the Engineering an Empire on History Channel. Right from the 1970s when Peter started his career with Full Circle and Picnic on Broadway through his leading role in the cult classic The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension, Mighty Aphrodite of Woody Allen to David Cronenberg’s Naked Lunch, Peter has been a critically acclaimed actor whom the audience equally loved.
