Aimee Garcia is an American actress who is probably best known for her role as Jamie Batista in the Showtime’s TV drama series “Dexter.” She was also part of the cast in the sitcom “George Lopez,” in which she played the role as Veronica Palmero. She was born on November 28, 1978 in Chicago, Illinois and of Mexican Puerto Rican and Mexican descent.

At the age of 7, Aimee Garcia started doing theater work when she did “Cinderella” at The Auditorium Theatre and played as Clara in “The Nutcracker” when she was 12 years old. Garcia is not only an achiever in doing plays nut also in school. She graduated from the Northwestern University majoring in French, journalism, and economics. While studying, she had a contract with Paramount Television and portrayed the role of Diana Morales in the musical “A Chorus Line.”

Aimee Garcia received nominations and recognitions for her excellent performances in several shows and projects. In 2007, Garcia has become one of the nominees for the ALMA Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress for a Television Series, Mine- Series or Television Movie in the show George Lopez.

In 2012, she was nominated for SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series in the TV series “Dexter.” Garcia also had appearances in several TV shows such as “ER,” “Resurrection Blvd.,” “V.I.P,” “The Agency” and “Angel.” She was also cast in the “American Family,” “MDs,” “Greetings from Tucson” and “All about the Andersons” as well as “Las Vegas.” Her other projects were “El otro Mexico,” “CSI: NY,” “Standoff,” “Supernatural,” “My Boys,” and “CSI: Miami.” Garcia has also starred in many films such as “The Homecoming,” “The Good Girl,” “Cadet Kelly,” “Boys Life 4: Four Play” and did the narration in the film “Spanglish.”

Garcia also appeared in the films “D.E.B.S.,” “Boricua,” “Global Frequency” and “A Lot Like Love.” Other shows that she appeared in are “Cruel World,” “Dirty,” “Ultra,” “Alibi,“ and “Mercy Street” as well as “D-War,” “Graduation” and “7eventy 5ive.” The “More Things Change…,” “Universal Signs,” and “Private Valentine: Blonde & Dangerous” are other films that she starred in. The latest projects that she did were “Operating Instructions,” “B- Girl,” “Shrink,“ “Beach Lane,” “Go for it!,” and “Convincing Clooney.”

Apart from her acting career, Aimee Garcia is also busy with other productive activities. She tutors junior and high school students in Spanish. One of her favorite leisure activities is playing golf.
