Lena Headey is an English actress who was born on October 3rd, 1973. She was born in Bermuda where her father is a police cadet assigned there. She grew up in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Lena Headey’s first acting performance was in her academic classes at Shelley College. At the age of 17, she caught the attention of a casting agent who took her picture and asked her to audition for a certain role. Her first supporting role was in the film “Waterland” together with Ethan Hawke and Jeremy Irons in 1992.

Lena Headey has been featured in multiple major films and movies including “The Remains of Days” in 1993, “The Jungle Book” in 1994, “Onegin” in 1999 and “Aberdeen” in 2000. After her steady and consistent acting performances and minor films in the 1990s, she became a lead actress in the movie “The Brothers Grimm” in 2005 that was a big budgeted film. She acted together with Gerard Butler and Dominic West in the movie “300” in 2007, where she portrayed the role of Queen of Sparta named Gorgo. She was also featured in the adventure and biological movie “The Red Baron” in 2008.

She is part of James Cameron’s film series Terminator, which she got a leading role as Sarah Connor. In the year 2011, she was casted in HBO’s Game of Thrones as Cersei Lannister. Jason Fleming was the long time boyfriend of Lena Headey that lasted for nine years, but she married Peter Loughran. She has a son named Wylie Loughran who was born on March 31st, 2010. Headey and her husband separated in 2011 and filed for divorce on July 20th, 2012.

Lena Headey also appeared in the TV show White Collar in “Taking Account” episode. She was nominated as Best Fantasy Actress in the Scream Award.
