Born on February 11th, 1983, in a small city in England; Natalie Dormer learned ballet, modern dance and jazz during her childhood as preparation for entering the world of show business. In spite of being the educated hopeful of the family, as Natalie describes herself, upon reaching the age of 18, she transferred to London where she enrolled at Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art to enhance her skills in drama.

Natalie Dormer’s talent was palpable from the start. In fact, in just a short period of time in the show business, Natalie won a role in the film “Cassanova” where she played as Victoria together with Hollywood stars Siena Miller and Health Ledger. During filming, this gorgeous lady impressed her co-stars with her swordsmanship. Natalie is a brilliant fencer. The swordplay in this movie is remarkable, according to her. Natalie took a combat class and has a collection of different kinds of swords. Based on Dormer’s performance in the movie “Cassanova,” she obtained a 3 picture contract with Touchstone.

In 2008, she played the role of the ill-fated mistress of Henry VIII in the movie “Tudors.” At the same time, in this movie, she proved herself capable of earning better and bigger roles. Even though she failed to earn the award in the 2008 Emmy award, she received grand critical acclaim for her act in the 2nd season.

In July 2009, Natalie Dormer made a dubbing in the novel written by Sarah Dunant that aired on BBC radio. She portrayed the role of Serafina, a sixteen year old teenager residing in Renaissance, Italy. She is also one of the stars in “Miss Marple: Why Didn’t they Ask Evans?”

In 2010, Natalie Dormer was extremely busy doing a brilliant role in the play “Sweet Nothings” written by renowned writer Arthur Schnitzler. Together with her co-stars, Dormer traveled in Europe doing two shows every day.

Sometime in July 2010, Natalie signed two new deals – “W.E.,” a prolonged story regarding the love affair between Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson and “The Silk,” a new legal drama that aired on the BBC radio.

Natalie Dormer also played a role in the Hollywood blockbuster movie “Captain America” together with other renowned Hollywood actors Haley Atwell and Evans. She portrayed the character of Private Lorraine. Entertainment Weekly broadcasted somewhere during June 2011 that Natalie Dormer is one of the stars in the HBO epic series, the Game of Thrones. She will be on the series in Season 2 portraying the role of Margaery Tyrell.
